1 out of 5 new cars are manufactured with OE shock absorbers from Astemo!
Astemo, the manufacturer of TOKICO products, was established in January 2021 as a new company through the merger of Hitachi Automotive Systems, KEIHIN, SHOWA, and NISSIN.
Since our establishment, our shock absorbers for 2-wheeled and 4-wheeled vehicles (mass production vehicles and aftermarket) have been highly evaluated by customers worldwide.
We have been pursuing high performance in all our products and pushing the limits of technology.
Our staff in the development, production, and quality sectors are working to create products that are of high quality and high functionality.
As part of this effort, we have supplied products to numerous races for both motorbikes and cars where every 1/1000 of a second counts, and our technical capabilities have been proven through activities that have led to title wins.
TOKICO shock absorbers, which integrate these technologies, are provided to customers from Astemo's worldwide service network with a sense of security and safety.
Astemo consistently strives for perfection with its sophisticated drive control systems. Struts are an integral part of your vehicles handling. TOKICO shocks and struts are designed and tested to support the vehicle weight, while providing the smooth handling in various road conditions. TOKICO shocks consists of a piston in a sealed tube filled with gas and/or liquid. When vehicle hits a bump, the shock is meant to absorb that impact so you don't have to while keeping your wheels in constant contact with the road. Our high performance shocks and struts are made for consumers who prefer smooth handling of their vehicles.
1) COIL OVER TYPE SHOCK
U Series (Gas type)
Q Series (Oil type)
- Originally developed by TOKICO (first in the world: U series).
- Better vehicle control, improved ride quality, and quieter operation by eliminating cavitation.
2) SUSPENSION STRUT
A Series (Oil type)
B Series (Gas type)
- Improved comfort and ride control is assured through MacPherson strut design which is used in most modern suspension chassis.
- Restores OE damping forces ensuring consistent tire/road contact and a safe handling of the vehicle.
3) HYDRAULIC SHOCK ABSORBER
1000-6000 Series (Oil type)
- Improved riding comfort under severe driving conditions, due to TOKICO's unique rebound and compression control disc valve system.
- Smooth operation and greater durability of the shock absorber.
- Improved road holding and necessary stability for safety.
4) TWIN TUBE SHOCK ABSORBER
E Series (Gas type)
- Originally developed by TOKICO (first in the world).
- Better vehicle control, improved ride quality, and quieter operation by eliminating cavitation.
- Improved driving dynamics and increased control for body and tire movement.
5) STRUT CARTRIDGE
S Series (Oil type)
Z Series (Gas type)
- Strut cartridges are the easiest and most efficient way to replace a suspension strut with cartridges.
- Assures a suitable damping force for active road-holding and excellent driving stability under any road condition.
